I have vertical thin white lines on my 1.5 year old 47″ Philips LCD HDTV 1080p. What’s the problem?

I have a Philips LCD TV 47PFL7403D 47″ Full HD 1080p with Perfect Pixel HD Engine. I bought it a year and half ago. Suddenly, I start seeing vertical thin white lines on the screen that are more visible when black color is on TV. The lines make the picture unclear, but you can see all the colors on it. I see the lines when playing a DVD or just watching cable. They are always there. Do you know what the problem is? I have a sony surround system connected to it, would the speakers cause the problem?

    cells (pixels) are dead.

these tvs are incredibly fragile and unreliable it sounds like the rows of transistors in the LCD have lost their contacts at the top and bottom of the screen that’s why the lines . If you look on e-bay there are hundreds of broken LCD and plasma tvs for sale with “minor” problems like yours but 99. 9% are unrepairable or uneconomic to repair as a new tv is cheaper than a repair, hopefully philips will have an answer or you have a 2 or 3 year warranty
